Rutland Town School is seeking an enthusiastic, patient, and dedicated individual to join our early childhood team as a Pre-K Para educator. In this role, you will work closely with the classroom teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where students ages 3–5 can learn, play, and grow.
Key Responsibilities- Classroom Support:
Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lessons, managing classroom transitions, and providing instructional support. - Student Engagement:
Support young learners in developing social, emotional, and academic skills through play and structured activities. - Daily Operations:
Help prepare learning centers, organize snacks, set up rest areas, and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly classroom environment. - Supervision & Coverage:
Provide attentive supervision during classroom activities, recess, and transitions, stepping in for classroom coverage as needed.
- Education:
Associate degree preferred (or equivalent credits/para educator certification). - Certifications:
CPR/First Aid certification required. (
Note:
If you are not currently certified, training will be arranged and provided by the Supervisory Union). - Skills:
A genuine love for working with early childhood students, strong communication skills, patience, and a collaborative team-player mindset.
Position Type: Full-time
Salary: $18 to $26 Per Hour
