Rutland City Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Math Teacher to inspire students to develop critical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and a lifelong appreciation for mathematics. The successful candidate will deliver a rigorous and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of a diverse student body while supporting students’ social, emotional, and intellectual growth.

• Teach middle school math courses with a focus on conceptual understanding, reasoning, and real‑world application.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and academic confidence.
• Support students’ development as responsible, accomplished individuals and community members.
• Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve instruction and student outcomes.

• Holds (or can obtain) a Vermont 7–12 teaching license (Master’s preferred).
• At least 3 years of relevant experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
• Collaborative spirit, creativity, and enthusiasm for the school’s unique culture.

Rutland Middle School offers competitive pay, a generous benefits package, and participation in the Rutland City Pension Plan in addition to the VT State Pension program. Salary range is $47,252 to $92,401 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
