Job DescriptionRutland Intermediate School is seeking a professional and child‑centered elementary teacher. The applicant must have a strong background in literacy, mathematics, and working within a professional learning community. Experience with Response to Intervention, Restorative Practices, and PBIS will be viewed favorably. Strong candidates will also possess the ability to make formative and data‑based adjustments to whole‑group and small‑group classroom instruction, differentiate instruction effectively, and work cooperatively with colleagues.
A Vermont teacher license is necessary. The position begins on August 20, 2026.
The teacher will
- Plan and deliver instruction for grades 3‑6 in literacy and mathematics.
- Use data to adjust instruction for whole group and small group.
- Collaborate with colleagues, staff, and families to support student learning.
- Implement restorative practices and PBIS within the classroom.
- Maintain accurate records and participate in professional learning community meetings.
- Vermont teacher license.
- Strong background in literacy, mathematics, and differentiated instruction.
- Experience with Response to Intervention, Restorative Practices, and PBIS.
- Ability to make formative, data‑based instructional adjustments.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; at least 1 year of related experience preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
Salary range: $47,252 to $92,401, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
