Environmental Waste Analyst – Special Waste

Responsibilities

• Responsible for technical review of waste characterization profile information and confirming accuracy of analytical data.
• Determine if waste is acceptable at disposal facility based on regulations, facility permits and management method.
• Protect disposal facilities' environmental integrity and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Develop guidelines for specific waste streams as needed to improve process.
• Review and issue all waste approvals according to best practices and policies.
• Participate in training and opportunities to expand knowledge of the company and its services.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or other related degree.
• 1-4 years of work experience in solid waste or related environmental industry.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel among company regional offices in the Northeast.
• Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, listening, communication and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrates expertise in waste characterization and environmental compliance, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices while maintaining the integrity of disposal facilities. Proficient in developing guidelines and conducting technical reviews to enhance waste management processes.
