Production Associate

Johnson Service Group has an immediate need in Rutland, Vermont for a Production Associate – Material Handler. This is scheduled to be a 2+ month temporary assignment of 40+ hours a week. The position requires regular lifting of 40 lbs.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Associate operates manufacturing equipment that produces product in the production line and performs manual stacking of product. In addition, the associate will be accountable for basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to keep production equipment running efficiently.

• Manually operate and monitor assigned lines, bagging and palletizing equipment, materials, and finished product as necessary to facilitate proper flow and machine operation.
• Coordinate the movement of product from the production lines to the skids.
• Manually stack finished product onto pallets.
• Examine product for quality and ensure all Food Safety Handling Procedures are followed.
• Record daily logs of packages, bags, and wasted packaging material.
• Inspect Julian date/lot codes for accuracy and legibility.
• Adopt a culture of cleanliness and safety in the work environment.

This position is available immediately and we are looking for someone who can start work right away.

Payrate: $17 per hour.
