Shift 1: 7AM-3PM
Hiring minimum is $17 per hour
Carris Reels is seeking quality-minded, dependable individuals to join our talented team of Employee Owners at our West Rutland Assembly Division- which has Support/Prep, Shipping, Tube Making, and Assembly departments. These key positions require working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, assembling wood reels for the wire and cable industry. Long periods of standing, attention to safe practices, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in a team setting are also required.

Essential Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
- Follow established methods and procedures necessary to build a wooden reel
- Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and customer specifications with minimum supervision.
- Interpersonal and group communications skills are necessary
- Be familiar with, and use, measuring tools. Must be able to perform simple shop math
- Build wood reels using hand and pneumatic tools
- Must be able to read and interpret customer spec cards and maintain production flow
- Clean and maintain the work area
- Follow prescribed safety regulations including the use of personal protective equipment
- Report defective materials, or questionable conditions, to the department supervisor
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to regularly lift and/move materials or finished product up to 50 pounds Required to stand, bend, lift arms, and reach.
