Molding Support Operator
Our client, in Rutland VT is seeking a molding support operator to join their team. As molding support operator, you'll play a hands-on role in producing high-quality plastic components that support industries across the country. Molding Support - Plastics Band 2 Shift 1: 7AM- 3PM - 4-12pm Starting pay range: $18 - $19 an hour
Position Summary:
What You'll Do (Essential Functions)
- Monitor injection molding components with precision and attention to detail.
- Perform quality checks, and deflash parts to meet customer specifications.
- Follow all safety protocols — your wellbeing and that of your teammates come first.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Collaborate with team members and actively contribute to a positive, supportive environment.
- Stay flexible — assist with other areas or buildings as business needs change.
- Show up strong: reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime when needed.
What You Bring
- Experience in injection molding or extrusion processes (preferred).
- Comfort using hand tools and measuring equipment (tape measure proficiency a plus).
- A mechanical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift/move up to 60 lbs safely and effectively.
- A positive attitude, self-motivation, and a desire to keep learning new skills.
Qualifications Essential Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
Must be able successfully complete testing sheets and other documents. Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and customer specifications with minimum supervision. Interpersonal and group communications skills are necessary Be familiar with, and use, measuring tools. Must be able to read and interpret customer spec cards and maintain production flow Clean and maintain the work area Follow prescribed safety regulations including the use of personal protective equipment Report defective materials, or questionable conditions, to the department supervisor
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or educational equivalent preferred Entry level, some experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred
