Compensation: Competitive, productivity-based compensation (well above MGMA median) + Incentives

Job Type: Full time. Monday–Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.

Location: Rutland, Vermont

We are seeking a Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join a thriving, well-established cardiology practice. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collaborative, high-quality cardiovascular program within a respected community hospital setting.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Perform cardiac-focused history and physical examinations
  • Evaluate and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions
  • Assist with diagnostic interpretation (e.g., EKGs, stress tests, cardiac imaging as appropriate)
  • Provide inpatient consult support in collaboration with Cardiologists
  • Coordinate care with hospitalists, intensivists, and referring providers
  • Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications

For Nurse Practitioners:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Eligible for or holding Vermont NP licensure

For Physician Assistants:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • NCCPA certification
  • Eligible for or holding Vermont PA licensure

For All Candidates:

  • Cardiology experience preferred

    Eligible for hospital credentialing and privileges
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
