Certified Nurse Midwife | Scope Women’s Health – Rutland, Vermont

A leading healthcare organization in Rutland, Vermont is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join a collaborative women’s health team providing evidence-based, patient-centered care across the reproductive lifespan.

This outpatient, hospital-owned practice is adjacent to the main hospital campus and an office on same floor as labor and delivery unit for use when on call. The hospital team is comprised of highly autonomous nursing team, respiratory therapists and pediatricians. The team facilitates roughly 300 births each year.

This position includes first call for OB and Gyn patients, usually 24 hr shifts, one day a week and one weekend a month.

• Join a thriving OB/GYN practice with a collaborative physician and APP team
• Provide full-scope midwifery care from prenatal through postpartum
• Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered women’s health care across the lifespan
• Manage obstetric and gynecologic care alongside experienced OB/GYN physicians
• Support ~300 births annually within a strong hospital-based program
• Partner with highly autonomous nursing, pediatric, and respiratory therapy teams
• Practice in a dedicated women’s health setting near labor and delivery
• Perform office-based gynecologic procedures including IUD/Nexplanon, I&Ds, and colposcopy (preferred)
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Enjoy a balanced call schedule with limited first-call coverage

• RN and CNM licensure per VT State Board of Nursing
• DEA number or ability to obtain upon hire
• Certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board
• BLS Certification through American Heart AssociationNRP Certification
• Preferably 2 years of CNM experience

• Experience with ultrasound assessment and interpretation
• Experience with GYN procedures IUD/Nexplanon/I&Ds/Colposcopy
• Experience as 1st assist at c-sections
• Experience in both outpatient and hospital-based settings
• Familiarity with quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
