Procedures Monitoring Patient Health:
Regularly checking and recording vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and observing patients for any changes in physical or mental condition.
Basic Patient Care:
Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility.
Wound Care:
Cleaning and dressing wounds, applying topical medications, and monitoring healing progress, often following a care plan established by an RN or physician.
Medication Administration:
Administering most types of medications, including oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous injections, and in some states, IV fluids, under supervision.
Specimen Collection:
Collecting biological samples such as urine, blood, or sputum for laboratory testing.
Catheter Insertion/Care:
Inserting and irrigating urinary catheters and performing related care.
Documentation and Reporting:
Accurately maintaining patient records, documenting all care provided, and reporting patient status
