Store Manager, Retail & Store Manager

Dollar General, in collaboration with OpenAI-inspired operational excellence, is hiring a Store Manager for our Rutland, VT location. In this role, you will lead all store operations, including staffing, scheduling, cash management, and inventory control, while leveraging technology and data to improve performance. You'll develop and coach associates, ensure exceptional customer service, and execute merchandising and promotional plans. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about building inclusive, high-performing teams in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily store operations, including opening, closing, cash management, and inventory accuracy for Dollar General's Rutland, VT location
• Coach, schedule, and develop store associates to deliver outstanding customer service and meet performance goals
• Analyze sales, margins, and key metrics to drive growth and optimize product mix using data-driven decision-making
• Ensure accurate execution of merchandising plans, promotions, pricing, and visual standards
• Implement and monitor loss prevention, safety, and compliance procedures aligned with company policies
• Use technology tools to track performance, generate reports, and improve operational efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners and IT support to resolve system issues and enhance in-store tech usage
