Airgas is Hiring for a Local Delivery Driver in Rutland, VT! We are looking for you.
ResponsibilitiesOperates a Class B Hazmat vehicle, delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hard goods along designated routes.
Collects empty cylinders from customers.
Records transactions and obtains signatures.
Addresses customer inquiries, ensuring satisfaction.
Handles loading/unloading.
Conducts pre/post-trip vehicle checks, noting issues and ensuring safety compliance.
Presents a professional appearance and upkeeps the vehicle's condition.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a valid Class B CDL license.
Must have HAZMAT endorsement or be able to obtain the endorsement within 90 days of being hired.
Must have at least 1 year of commercial driving experience within the last 5 years.
Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required.
Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.
Ability to maintain a drug-free workplace.
Adherence to safety regulations and policies.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Forklift Experience
Touch freight delivery experience
