Full-Time Banquet Captain
Harrison Meadows Country Club, located in Harrison, NY, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Banquet Captain. We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Compensation: $23.00 - $24.00 based on experience
Position Summary
The Banquet Captain is responsible for leading banquet service staff and ensuring all banquet and club events are executed according to established standards. The Banquet Captain serves as the primary point of contact during events, coordinating service operations, supervising staff, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Event Preparation
- Review banquet event orders (BEOs) prior to each event.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate event details, service expectations, and assignments.
- Inspect banquet rooms to ensure proper setup according to event specifications.
- Verify tables, linens, China, glassware, silverware, décor, and equipment are properly arranged.
- Coordinate with culinary and beverage teams to ensure readiness for service.
Event Execution
- Lead banquet servers and bartenders throughout service.
- Ensure food and beverages are served efficiently, accurately, and professionally.
- Monitor service standards and guest satisfaction throughout events.
- Address guest concerns and special requests promptly and professionally.
- Maintain communication between the kitchen, service staff, and management.
- Adjust staffing and service flow as needed to ensure successful event execution.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
