Location: The Osborn, Rye, NY
Position Summary
The Osborn is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Admission Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a per diem basis. This role is essential in overseeing new resident admissions, managing intake, and ensuring a smooth transition into our community. The Admission RN will conduct clinical assessments, provide direct nursing care, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional resident-centered care.
We are looking for a professional RN who demonstrates strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and a commitment to excellence in long-term care.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of new resident admissions and intake.
- Conduct thorough nursing assessments and initiate individualized care plans.
- Provide direct nursing care to residents as needed, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Nursing Assistants in compliance with facility standards.
- Accurately document resident assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor residents' conditions and promptly report changes to appropriate staff.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support residents' health and well-being.
- Promote professionalism and uphold the mission, vision, and values of The Osborn.
- Active NY State RN license and current CPR certification required.
- Prior experience in admissions, long-term care, or skilled nursing preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for long-term care facilities.
- Competitive per diem hourly rate ($55)
