Golf Shop Sales Attendant

Harrison Meadows Country Club, located in Harrison, NY, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Golf Shop Sales Attendant! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less). Pay Range: $17.50–$18.50 per hour

Summary:

The golf shop is the hub of the facility's operation and serves as the primary point of communication for members, guests, and staff. Successful candidates are knowledgeable, organized, aware, friendly, and enthusiastic, setting the tone for an exceptional golf experience every day. Key Areas of Focus:

  • Member and guest interaction
  • Tee sheet management
  • Golf shop presentation
  • Communication with all staff
  • Teamwork

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use the Point of Sale (POS) system to check in golfers and sell merchandise.
  • Greet pass holders and guests as they enter the golf shop and provide luxury service for every request.
  • Keep the golf shop clean, neat, organized, and well-lit at all times.
  • Assist in maintaining merchandise inventory levels and place orders as needed.
  • Restock the golf shop during and prior to the end of each shift, checking supplies hourly.
  • Have a radio at all times to communicate with staff.
  • Ensure pass holders and guests are aware of their starting times.
  • Ensure guests know where areas of the facility are located.
  • Be of service to guests and members, ensuring they have an enjoyable day while at Harrison Meadows CC.
  • Ensure pass holders and guests are aware of facility information, including Member Programs, green fees, merchandise offerings, food and beverage offerings, and more.
  • Thank guests and members for visiting Harrison Meadows CC.
  • Utilize Golf Genius.
  • Complete GHIN registration.
  • Maintain Pin High shaft labels and Visage.
  • Assist with course painting.
  • Complete monthly safety procedures.
  • Complete monthly supply inventory.
  • Assist with other areas of golf operations as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to fluently read, write, and speak English.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to waist height.
  • Frequent bending, turning, kneeling, and stooping.
  • Exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Repetitive motion required, including computer entry.
  • Must be able to operate a golf cart safely.
  • Normal vision and hearing required.
