What You’ll Do
- Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and inventory management, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Model, enforce, and provide direction to Associates on proper customer/member service approaches to resolve needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines and standards.
- Oversee the implementation of community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as good members of the community.
- Ensure compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations by analyzing reports, implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, overseeing safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews, developing action plans to improve performance, and directing Vision Center Associates to maintain confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for Associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
- Ensure the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating Members/Customers, selecting products based on Member/Customer needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining optical equipment.
- Uphold the Company’s Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing Company policies and procedures, and suggesting resolutions.
- Coordinate and oversee job‑related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, identifying and communicating goals, building accountability, measuring progress, identifying improvement opportunities, and promoting continuous learning.
- Build high‑performing teams that embrace differences, create a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected, and foster a culture of belonging.
- Work collaboratively, build strong and trusting relationships, and communicate with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence.

- Display curiosity and a desire to learn, take calculated risks, demonstrate courage and resilience, and encourage learning from mistakes.
- Drive continuous improvements by adopting and encouraging new technologies and skills, and supporting others through change.
- Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience, including 1 year’s optical experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
- Experience supervising Associates.
