Vision Center Manager NL

Position Summary

Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting and forecasting, sales analysis, and assessing economic trends and community needs.

• Model, enforce, and provide direction to Associates on proper Customer/Members service approaches and techniques to ensure needs, complaints, and issues are resolved within Company guidelines and standards.
• Oversee the implementation of and participate in community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as good members of the community.
• Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, and applicable legal regulations for the Vision Center by analyzing reports, implementing asset protection and safety controls, and conducting safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews; develop and implement action plans to improve performance; guide the execution of Company programs and strategic initiatives; and direct Vision Center Associates in protecting confidentiality of information and records.
• Provide supervision and development opportunities for Associates in the Vision Center by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a culture of belonging.
• Ensure the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating Members/Customers, selecting products based on Member/Customer needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining Optical equipment.
• Uphold the Company’s Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies, and proposing resolutions.
• Coordinate and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and promoting accountability and continuous learning.

• Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
