Elevate your carpentry skills at Mount Allison University, where you will focus on general repairs and installations. Respond to emergencies, collaborate with the management, and be a key part of campus infrastructure.
The position under the Manager of Campus Infrastructure and Utilities requires a dedicated carpenter knowledgeable in various carpentry tasks. You will execute repairs on buildings, furnishings, and construct components from verbal directions or sketches. Emergency call-ins beyond normal hours are required, ensuring the integrity of campus facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform general repairs on building components and furnishings
• Construct and install components from verbal instructions
• Respond promptly to emergency call-ins outside regular hours
• Undertake related tasks as assigned
Requirements:
• Valid New Brunswick Journeyman Carpenter’s License
• CUPE Local 2338 membership
• Valid New Brunswick Driver's License
• Experience in drywall, flooring, and carpentry tasks
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
