Position:Full‑time Video Editor at WCSH‑TV P
The TEGNA‑owned NBC affiliate in Portland is looking for a full‑time Video Editor to create captivating and shareable content for television, social media, and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is technologically savvy, can work under tight deadlines, and possesses a keen artistic eye, deep understanding of editing and photography techniques, and a passion for storytelling.
Responsibilities- Use editing tools to create content for Newscast and Digital platforms.
- Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media (viewer pictures, webcam interviews, etc.) to enhance stories.
- Work closely with news producers, reporters, photojournalists, and the digital team.
- BA/BS degree preferred.
- Knowledge of non‑linear editing systems using Edius, Premiere, and Photoshop.
- Interest in broadcast and digital news content.
- Organizational skills and ability to work under deadline pressure.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be deadline‑oriented, maintaining quality while staying on tight schedules.
- Must be able to work early mornings, nights and weekends.
