Educational Technician III

The mission of Saco Pre-K is to provide our community with a safe, engaging learning environment for our youngest learners one that embraces the unique strengths of each child and family and empowers students to grow as part of the Saco School Department and beyond. We are seeking a Full-Time Educational Technician III to join our team.

Position Overview

The Educational Technician III works collaboratively alongside the classroom teacher to support student learning, wellbeing, and development in a dynamic Pre-K setting. This position plays a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where all children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Support a classroom environment that is safe, welcoming, and conducive to individualized and small group instruction
• Assist in implementing instructional strategies and reinforcing learning materials tailored to individual student needs
• Assist with classroom preparation, material organization, and center setup
• Maintain accurate records to document student learning, progress, and performance
• Support positive behavioral expectations and assist with classroom management to ensure a safe and orderly environment
• Collaborate effectively with the classroom teacher, specialists, families, and support staff
• Provide individualized support to students, including those with IEPs or additional learning needs, under the direction of the lead teacher

Qualifications

Educational Technician III Certification with the Maine Department of Education required

Current CHRC required

Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with staff, families, and community members

Previous experience in a preschool or early childhood setting preferred

Terms of Employment

Full-Time position FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt Evaluation:
As applicable, based on hours worked

Compensation Based on experience, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement Ed Tech III - Range - $23.25-$32.90 per hour
