Summary of Role

Saco Valley Credit Union
, a 2025 Best Place to Work in ME, is looking for a detail-oriented and organized professional to join our Lending team as a Full-Time Mortgage Loan Processor
. This position plays an important role in the mortgage loan process by providing administrative support, ensuring loan files are accurate and complete, and managing tax and insurance payments on behalf of members with escrow accounts held by the Credit Union. The Mortgage Loan Processor works closely with lending staff to gather documentation, verify information, coordinate key loan requirements, and support a positive member experience.

Location and Schedule

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Saco, Maine, Monday through Friday.

Requirements
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Six months to two years of similar or related experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
  • High level of regard for trust and confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate respectfully with all personality styles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees, members, and other entities, developing and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including effectively organizing time and remaining flexible to meet competing demands requiring skill and attention.
  • Strong computer and general office equipment knowledge, and willingness to learn new technology.
  • Knowledge of mortgage products, rates, and lending regulations.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements

This position operates in an office environment and may require:

  • Prolonged periods of working at a computer and remaining in a stationary position.
  • Frequent communication, including conveying and exchanging information with others.
