The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our organisation's computer systems and networks, providing technical support, and ensuring the entire company runs smoothly. This role is crucial for supporting the technology that underpins our real estate services.
Salary: $58,000 - $125,000 USD per annum
, commensurate with experience.
- Provide first and second-line technical support to all staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure high availability and performance.
- Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests, managing tickets through our helpdesk system.
- Set up new user accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and resolving both hardware and software faults.
- Support the roll‑out of new applications and technology initiatives.
- Work continuously on a task until completion or refer it to third-party vendors if appropriate.
- Maintain IT documentation and asset registers.
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
- Proven professional experience as an IT Specialist, IT Support Engineer, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems (hardware/software), mobile devices, and networking principles.
- Hands‑on experience with diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
- Proficiency in a range of operating systems, including Windows and macOS.
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) would be a distinct advantage.
- A strong problem‑solving mindset and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
