Business and Facilities Manager

Position Summary

The Business and Facilities Manager at Lee Academy plays a vital role in supporting the Head of School by overseeing the operational and financial aspects of the institution. This position is responsible for managing the school’s operating budget and ensuring the smooth functioning of physical facilities and support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head of School to develop, monitor and manage the school’s operating budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with institutional goals.
  • Supervise and provide leadership for human resources, bookkeeping, boarding program admissions, maintenance, custodial, and food service personnel, ensuring high standards of work, safety, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Supervise and collaborate with the Preparatory Basketball Program director to ensure the program’s fiscal success.
  • Oversee day-to-day facilities operations, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and improvements to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for students.
  • Oversee tuition billing, employee contracts, and financial support for the school, along with coordinating with vendors and service providers for facility and operational requirements.
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to business operations and facilities management.
  • Report to the Lee Academy Board of Trustees on the day-to-day operation of the school, partnering with the Head of School to ensure that operations serve to advance the school’s academic goals.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in business administration, facilities management, or related work experience preferred. School district experience is a plus.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial management, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
  • Proven supervisory experience with facilities, maintenance, and food service.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and manage multiple priorities.
Work Environment

The Business and Facilities Manager will primarily work on-site at the Lee Academy Moores Campus and will interact daily with staff, faculty, and service personnel.
