Description Team & Operations Leadership
  • Lead the daily activities of the yard, warehouse, delivery fleet, and logistics team
  • Directly supervise drivers, load builders, and yard personnel
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and yard operations
  • Support hiring, training, scheduling, and employee development
Safety & Asset Management
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all operations
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, training, and injury management procedures
  • Lead investigations and follow-up for injuries and vehicle accidents
  • Manage fleet maintenance and repairs to maximize equipment uptime
  • Identify and eliminate inefficiencies that impact employees and customers
  • Analyze operational performance data to identify root causes and improvement opportunities
  • Lead cross-functional discussions focused on improving delivery accuracy and efficiency
  • Develop visual standards, organized work spaces, and sustainable operating practices
Customer & Performance Focus
  • Improve on-time and in-full deliveries (OTIF)
  • Increase operational efficiency and productivity
  • Reduce inventory shrink, credits, and delivery errors
  • Partner with sales, operations, vendors, and customers to continuously improve service levels
Requirements
  • Leadership experience in logistics, transportation, yard operations, warehousing, building materials, or related industries
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational performance
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience managing safety, schedules, and operational processes
  • Ability to analyze data and turn insights into action
  • Commitment to accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
