About the University of New England

UNE is Maine’s largest private university, with two beautiful coastal campuses in Maine, a one‑of‑a‑kind study‑abroad campus in Tangier, Morocco, and an array of flexible online offerings. In an uncommonly welcoming and supportive community, we offer hands‑on learning, empowering students to positively impact a world full of challenges. We are the state’s top provider of health professionals and home to Maine’s only medical and dental colleges, a variety of other interprofessionally aligned health care programs, and nationally recognized programs in the marine sciences, the natural and social sciences, business, the humanities, and the arts.

  • Supervise and instruct students (4-8 per group depending on site) during assigned clinical rotations. Rotations are 8-10 hour shifts depending on location.

  • Assign patient experiences that align with course objectives and clinical requirements.
  • Plan and lead pre‑brief and post‑clinical conferences.
  • Provide ongoing formative feedback to support student development.
  • Complete midterm and final clinical evaluations in collaboration with course faculty.

  • Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (or by the time of clinical rotation start date).

  • Ability to meet physical and functional role expectations (e.g., lifting up to 50 lbs as per program Technical Standards).
