Territory Manager, MEP - Portland, ME (Field-Based)
Territory Manager, MEP is responsible for managing a territory of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing accounts. The role focuses on driving top‑line sales through strategic initiatives, establishing strong relationships with key decision makers, and maintaining daily account activities, including in‑person visits.
Responsibilities- Manage daily activities, including in‑person account visits.
- Establish and maintain relationships with Key Decision Makers throughout the territory.
- Drive sales by executing strategic plans, go‑to‑market strategies, product and service promotion, and targeted funding initiatives.
- Conduct prospecting and account management for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing groups.
- Call on key customers with daily travel requirements to distributors, customers, and events.
- Lead distributor and end‑user product training and identify end‑user conversions.
- Communicate opportunities, issues, and trends to management and marketing.
- Effectively manage T & E and MAP budget and field schedule.
- Utilize to document work plans, visit logs, and maintain accurate customer data.
- Analyze Power BI and Salesforce data to develop strategic growth plans that improve financial performance.
- 1‑3 years of sales experience in product, commercial, or industrial sales, or a similar role.
- Willingness to travel, with up to 50% overnight travel.
- Ability to analyze Power BI and Salesforce data to develop strategic growth plans.
- Goal‑oriented and highly driven to achieve quarterly and annual sales results within a specific region or market.
- Strong product and market knowledge with a focus on gaining share with retail partners.
- Flexible to change and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- High‑level communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal) to partner with customers and SBD team personnel.
- Demonstrated success with promotional and event initiatives through creativity and problem solving.
- Understanding of IT business systems (, BW, Tool Commerce) and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass an MVR screening.
- Ability to pass all drug and criminal background checks.
Target cash compensation range: $67,200.00 – $. The range includes base salary and target variable cash compensation and may vary based on level, location, and other factors.
