Rate of Pay: $22 hourly with an additional $2.50 shift differential between the hours of 10pm-8am.

The Overnight Coordinator provides overnight operational leadership and support to Adult and Children's Residential Services, with a primary focus on the Children's Residential Program. The position is responsible for ensuring safe, consistent, trauma-informed care during overnight hours through staff coordination, shift oversight, scheduling support, and monitoring of program operations.
The Overnight Coordinator serves as the primary overnight resource for direct care staff, ensuring adherence to established treatment, safety, licensing, and program expectations. This role promotes a therapeutic milieu, supports crisis response and de-escalation efforts, ensures completion of required shift responsibilities, and maintains effective communication between overnight and daytime teams.
The Overnight Coordinator models and champions trauma-informed, strengths-based, and relationship-based approaches while supporting staff development, accountability, and quality service delivery.

Essential Functions Staff Leadership and Supervision
  • Provide functional supervision, coaching, mentoring, and support to overnight direct care staff.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide real-time feedback regarding program expectations, documentation, and client care.
  • Support orientation and training of newly hired overnight staff.
  • Participate in ongoing staff development and competency monitoring related totrauma-informed care, crisis intervention, therapeutic engagement, andsafety practices.
  • Ensure staff maintain professional boundaries and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Assist leadership with identifying performance concerns and recognition opportunities.
Scheduling and Staffing Coordination
  • Coordinate overnight staffing schedules and ensure adequate staffing coverage across residential programs.
  • Arrange shift coverage for vacancies, call-outs, and emergency staffing needs.
  • Monitor staff attendance, overtime utilization, and scheduling practices.
  • Communicate staffing concerns and recommendations to program leadership.
  • Serveas the overnight staffing resource and coordinate with on-call leadership when staffing challenges arise.
Program Oversight and Operations
  • Conduct regular overnight rounds in children's and adult residential programs.
  • Ensure completion of required shift duties, cleaning tasks, safety checks, room checks, and program-specific checklists.
  • Verify that all residences are secure and operating according to safety standards.
  • Monitor overnight routines to ensure consistency with individual treatment plansand residential expectations.
  • Review logs, communication books, electronic records, and incident reports for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain clear communication with daytime leadership regarding program concerns,staffing issues, and significant events.
Safety and Crisis Response
  • Serveas the primary overnight support for crisis situations and behavioral escalations.
  • Ensure implementation of approved crisis intervention and de-escalation practices.
  • Support staff in utilizing trauma-informed responses that prioritize safety,regulation, and therapeutic relationships.
  • Conduct safety audits and environmental checks to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure adherence to licensing regulations, agency standards, and safety protocols.
  • Participate in incident review, follow-up, and corrective action planning as requested.
  • Monitor medication administration practices and documentation when applicable.
Trauma-Informed Practice and Client Care
  • Promotea culture of safety, trust, collaboration, empowerment, and respect throughout overnight operations.
  • Ensure direct care staff consistently implement trauma-informed and strengths-based interventions.
  • Support staff in responding appropriately to youth, adults, and families experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.
