Warehouse Lead

About the Position

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for coaching and leading warehouse associates. The role includes training teammates to fulfill their daily tasks, performing the Lead’s own responsibilities, and providing backup to the supervisor as needed. Responsibilities vary by department and may include shipping/receiving, packaging, inventory control, general warehouse functions, and material handling operations such as forklift operation.

• Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers; conduct Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and annual recertification training.
• Conduct EIP, performance, and maintenance observations.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products or materials for distribution, including clamp/slip sheet equipment; load, unload, and store materials in designated areas.
• Complete applicable paperwork such as shipping and tracking labels according to standard operating procedures and regulatory agencies (DOT, IATA, IMDG, etc.).
• Participate in inventory and cycle count activities; report variances to leadership.
• Perform daily safety inspections using the Safety Checklist on forklift trucks.
• Maintain the facility in inspection-ready condition for SQFI, FDA, and customer requirements.
• Communicate and report any incidents to the supervisor.
• Ensure product rotation procedures are followed.
• Review and analyze daily production reports.
• Serve as backup to other warehouse roles as needed.
• Perform additional duties as required by the specific department.

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Minimum 2 years of prior warehouse or distribution operations experience.
• Minimum 6 months of leadership or supervisory experience in a distribution environment.
• Licensed forklift operator or ability to obtain a Forklift Operator license.

This position is not expected to travel.
