A Westside real estate company is looking for a Senior Property Accountant to join their team. In this newly created role, the Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the accounting for a portfolio of properties. To be successful in this role, the Senior Property Accountant must be analytical, detail-oriented, and be able to hit the ground running. Does this sound like you or someone you know?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• 3-7+ years property or real estate experience
• Experience with Yardi or related software
• Advanced Excel
• CPA would be great but not a requirement

• Own the month-end and year-end close process for assigned properties, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for properties and related entities
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances between budget, forecast, and actuals
• Manage CAM reconciliations, tenant billings, and recoveries in accordance with lease agreements
• Review rent rolls, tenant ledgers, and ensure accurate revenue recognition
• Oversee fixed assets, depreciation, and capital expenditure tracking
• Support annual budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts in collaboration with property and asset management teams
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit and tax-related requestsExpectedIA
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
