Job Responsibilities:
- Lead daily accounting operations including the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and month end close.
- Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Perform cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis for manufactured products.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to support accurate cost tracking and inventory control.
- Support audits, government contract compliance, and ERP system improvements to strengthen financial processes.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.
- Lead and mentor accounting or finance teams effectively in a fast paced environment.
- Utilize ERP systems and advanced Excel tools to support financial modeling and reporting.
- Manage daily accounting operations with strong attention to accuracy and compliance.
- Apply cost and inventory accounting expertise in a manufacturing environment.
- Coordinate with auditors, government agencies, and cross functional teams to meet regulatory standards.
- Adapt to government contract requirements including FAR, DFARS, and CAS guidelines.
