About the Role
Accounts Receivable Invoice Processor – The Accountant (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). perform accounting work in the processing and analysis of receipts. The incumbent will be trained to identify issues, establish and maintain cooperative relations, interpret and apply laws, rules, standards and procedures, and communicate effectively. Duties include gathering data and integrating generally accepted accounting principles with automated accounting systems.
Responsibilities- Process Short Doyle Medi‑Cal void and disallowed claims utilizing various State accounting systems.
- Create and process manual accounts receivable invoices.
- Gather and analyze financial data to support accounting objectives.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date accounting records.
- Support the Fiscal Program’s Financial Management Division in financial reporting, resource management, and budget oversight.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work.
- Adaptability in managing multiple or changing priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of departmental policies and protocols.
- Ability to work independently while fostering a team environment.
The incumbent will work in a professional office setting located in the East End Complex (EEC) in Midtown Sacramento, across from the State Capitol. The position offers hybrid telework up to three days per week with a minimum of two in‑person days.
