We are seeking a detail‑oriented and reliable Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and assisting with month‑end close activities. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
- Assist with payroll processing and related reporting
- Prepare journal entries and support month‑end and year‑end close
- Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries
- Generate financial reports as needed
- Support audits by providing documentation and data
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting principles
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and process improvements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, SAP, Sage)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain accuracy
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Experience in payroll processing
- Experience in a high‑volume or multi‑entity environment
- Familiarity with reconciliations and journal entry preparation
