Overview

Under general supervision of the Accountant Supervisor of the General Accounting Unit within the Public Safety Shared Services Center, the role performs professional accounting functions including auditing and maintaining expenditure accounts for expenditure transactions, serves as the designated lead worker over technical accounting staff engaged in auditing and maintaining automated accounting records, reconciles agency accounting records to the Comptroller's records, and resolves reconciliation problems and expenditure related problems.

• Completion of four years of college with courses in business administration and accounting.
• Four years of technical accounting experience.
• Elementary knowledge of professional accounting and auditing theory, principles, methods and procedures.
• Elementary knowledge of laws, rules and regulations relating to state or non-state accounting or auditing procedures.
• Elementary knowledge of office methods, procedures, standard office accounting machines and equipment.
