Audit Manager
Our client, a well-established public accounting firm, is seeking an Audit Manager to lead audit and assurance engagements while supporting team development and client relationships.
LocationSacramento, CA. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, 3 days/week in the office.
Job DescriptionThis role sits within a collaborative environment and offers strong visibility across engagements, with a focus on delivering high-quality client service. The ideal candidate is a technically strong audit professional who can manage multiple engagements, build client relationships, and mentor team members.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage multiple audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
- Review audit work papers, financial statements, and disclosures to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements relevant to assigned engagements
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex issues, including specialized accounting areas
- Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient delivery
- Mentor, coach, and develop audit staff and senior team members
- Collaborate with firm leadership on client service delivery and practice growth initiatives
- Stay current on accounting standards, regulatory changes, and industry best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; active CPA required
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on audit and assurance
- Strong knowledge of applicable accounting and auditing standards
- Experience managing multiple engagements and deadlines
- Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills
- Experience reviewing work and developing junior staff
