Do you have at least three years of accounting experience as a staff accountant within a non-profit organization? We are looking for a staff accountant for a wonderful new temp-to-hire job opportunity based out of Sacramento, CA. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, good GL accounting experience, and a strong attention to detail.

• Prepare and post accurate journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on GL and journal entries.
• Non‑Profit industry experience
• Proficiency in accounting software Quick Books
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
