Accounts Payable Supervisor – Sacramento, CA

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, employee expenses and payroll. The role manages a team of AP clerks, monitors vendor relationships, and implements process improvements.

• Oversee accounts payable workflow, ensuring all vendor invoices, expense reports and payroll checks are processed accurately and timely.
• Lead a team of AP clerks, providing coaching, training and performance feedback.
• Maintain accurate accounting ledgers and reconcile vendor statements, monthly and quarterly.
• Coordinate with purchasing, finance and operations to resolve invoice discrepancies, obtain approvals and enforce payment terms.
• Monitor cash flow, schedule payments and optimize discount opportunities.
• Prepare and submit tax filings such as sales tax on paid invoices.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with corporate financial policies.
• Maintain historical documentation and electronic records, ensuring proper filing and retention.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and educational opportunities related to AP processes.
