Project Financial Coordinator
Location: Sacramento, CA 95834
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Reports To: Finance Supervisor
The Junior Project Accountant provides support for project-based accounting operations. Responsibilities include tracking project costs, assisting with billing, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and supporting monthly accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain project records, budgets, purchase orders, and billing information.
- Track project expenses, invoices, payments, and budget performance.
- Review and process vendor and subcontractor invoices.
- Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and project documentation.
- Assist with client billing, accounts receivable follow-up, and project closeout activities.
- Support month-end accounting processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Research and resolve financial discrepancies.
- Follow company policies, safety requirements, and other assigned duties.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1-4 years of experience in accounting, billing, project support, or finance.
- Knowledge of invoices, purchase orders, reconciliations, and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn accounting software and ERP systems.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to pass applicable pre-employment screenings.
Physical Requirements
Primarily office-based with occasional site visits. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, use a computer regularly, communicate effectively, and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.

Pay Range: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
