Primary Purpose
To prepare forensic accounting calculations and reports of financial data related to various aspects of claims, including public entity claims to FEMA, Business Income Loss, Extra Expense, Stock/Inventory Loss, and Personal Injury Wage Loss.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Reviews and investigates financial evidence.
- Prepares written analyses, memos, and reports.
- Analyzes losses and claim estimates.
- Works with adjusters on status updates.
- Prepares large property damage claims on behalf of public entity clients seeking disaster grants from FEMA.
- Presents to clients for Forensic Accounting Services.
- Prepares analytical data for litigation and serves as an expert witness in court cases.
- Reviews claim evaluations and reports to ensure proper calculations have been completed before submission.
- Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Communicates with the insured or claimants when necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports the organization’s quality program(s).
- Travels as required.
- Education & Licensing: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics from an accredited college or university required. CPA or CFE license preferred.
- Experience: Six (6) years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience in Tax/Audit within the Business/Finance industry preferred.
- Skills & Knowledge: Knowledge of FEMA claims and forensic accounting calculations; ability to perform financial data analysis; excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills; PC literacy, including Microsoft Office products; analytical and interpretive skills; strong organizational and detail‑oriented skills; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work independently; ability to handle stress and meet tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities; ability to meet or exceed performance competencies.

Compensation and BenefitsStarting salary range: $80,000.00 to $ USD per year. Commission eligible role.
