Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to support financial operations for a variety of projects in their Sacramento office. This role is responsible for revenue recognition, project financial analysis, billing, receivables management, and contract administration. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while partnering effectively with project managers and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

2+ years of accounting experience

Knowledge of accounting fundamentals and financial reporting

Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Experience with accounting/ERP systems

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Preferred Experience:

Project accounting experience

Billing and revenue recognition

Contract review and administration

Accounts receivable and collections

Experience with in engineering, architecture, consulting, or construction environments
