Account Payable Clerk

Description

The Robert Half Consulting division is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to assist with the day-to-day processing of vendor invoices and payment activities. The ideal Accounts Payable Clerk is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This individual will play a key role in maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting the overall accounting function.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for timely payment.

+ Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.

+ Code invoices and enter data accurately into the accounting system.

+ Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries.

+ Reconcile vendor statements and ensure accounts are current.

+ Maintain organized accounts payable files and supporting documentation.

+ Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and accruals.

+ Monitor outstanding liabilities and ensure compliance with payment terms.

+ Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to address accounting-related questions.

Requirements

Requirements:

+ 1+ years of accounts payable, accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.

+ Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

+ Knowledge of accounts payable processes, invoice matching, and payment processing.

+ Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

+ Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

+

Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Dynamics, or similar platforms is a plus.
