Cost Accountant
Lisa Cole with Robert Half is partnering with a growing, manufacturing organization is seeking a Cost Accountant to support inventory, COGS, and manufacturing cost functions across multiple sites. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a high-reliability, production-focused environment and who enjoys partnering with operations and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close activities and prepare journal entries for inventory, COGS, and fixed assets
- Reconcile inventory, cost of sales, and general ledger accounts
- Analyze variances including purchase price variances and work order variances
- Assist with inventory costing and related ERP activities
- Support internal/external audits including SOX testing and annual reviews
- Track capital expenditures, maintain fixed asset records, and handle prepaid amortization
- Prepare business property tax filings and U.S. Census reporting
- Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to internal accounting policies
