We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands‑on experience in tax preparation and financial reporting within a professional environment. This is an onsite role, based out of our Natomas, Sacramento area office. The ideal candidate will assist with various tax-related tasks while developing a strong understanding of financial concepts.

Performance is judged based on the quality of work, application of accounting and taxation knowledge, and ability to meet time constraints.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepares a variety of tax returns including individual, business, non-profit, property, and payroll.
  • Assists in proofing financial statements tax returns, and other documents.
  • Performs other accounting and tax duties as needed in engagements and as assigned.
  • Plans and conducts portions of smaller engagements as experience and judgment allow.
  • Researches and applies relevant tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and updates
  • Available to work 20-30 hours per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Familiarity with financial concepts, tax regulations, and reporting standards
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
