Job Description and Duties
This position processes CHP 71, Attendance Reports, performing timekeeping functions for motor carriers and non-uniformed personnel who submit monthly reports. Completes, reviews and maintains all CHP 71's monthly, reviewing and correcting for discrepancies. Requests, and acts as liaison with Human Resources Section, Personnel Specialist in matters regarding attendance reporting, leave credits, and employee inquiries. In addition, this position processes and submits any changes, or open enrollment additions for all health, dental, flex-elect options and dependent verification documents.
Forwards all completed paperwork to HRS - Health Benefits Unit. Keeps abreast of any changes with CalPERS benefits and retirement system. Handles annual open health enrollment, dependent additions and deletions, and quarterly verifications of dependents for all of the Border Division employees. Rotates telephone receptionist duties with the other clerical staff. Receives and appropriately routes incoming phone calls for all the units within the Division office.
