TITLE: PAC Coordinator

SALARY RANGE: $65,000-$113,000
Provide general administrative and political support to the Center for Political Operations. Manage PAC fundraising; political contribution requests, calendaring and distribution process; event coordination; draft communications; generate reports; assist in candidate analysis; maintain overall CALPAC recordkeeping; and perform administrative tasks.
Duties/Responsibilities- Assist the Vice President of Political Operations in all administrative duties, such as manage the CALPAC calendar, schedule candidate interviews, process contribution requests and distribute contributions to legislators and candidates. Work closely with Government Relations team.
- Assist VP of Political Operations with the planning and execution of CALPAC operations.
- Coordinate fundraising programs, including fundraising at CMA events, drafting fundraising emails, presentations, follow-up with potential donors and other fundraising opportunities.
- Coordinate CMA members and staff assisting with fundraising activities.
- Organize events for candidates.
- Coordinate the CALPAC membership process and other fundraising programs with the CMA Center for Finance and Administration and outside accounting firm.
- Coordinate with AMA, Component Medical Society leaders and others as appropriate.
- Draft and generate reports.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, agenda materials and meeting minutes.
- Draft various correspondence to CALPAC members, CMA members and others.
- Organize logistics for CALPAC meetings and events.
- Assembles and staffs CALPAC booth at CMA meetings and events.
- Provides general office management support.
- Detail-oriented with superior organizational and administrative management skills.
- Highly responsible with a strong work ethic and responsiveness to deadlines.
- Ability to handle sensitive materials and information in a confidential manner.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to compose business correspondence.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be comfortable talking in front of groups.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Advanced clerical skills: spelling, proofreading, grammar, punctuation, and general office procedures.
- Two to five years of political/administrative experience.
- Familiarity with FPPC rules and deadlines.
- Some travel required for CMA and CALPAC meetings.
Frequent contact with members, component medical society staff, and physician leadership, as well as CMA staff in various Centers.
Equipment OperationPosition requires operation of normal office equipment, computer, printers, photocopier, fax machines, multi-line phone, mobile communications tools
