Position Summary
Under minimal oversight, performs clerical lead responsibility for classified staff and office operations, or lead technical duties of a more complex nature.

Typical Duties- Perform a variety of clerical and technical duties involving student registration, admissions, and records maintenance.
- Distribute, explain, receive, and check for completion and accuracy of graduation and other petitions.
- Complete public‑contact tasks; communicate with students, staff, and others to explain information.
- Aid students in registration and admission procedures, providing information about admission and courses offered.
- Prepare and maintain student folders; review files, records, and documents to obtain information for responding to requests.
- Compile and prepare statistical and other reports on various registration, admission, and record‑related topics.
- Receive and account for various fees; process records, post and process grades; process and send transcripts to students and colleges.
- Prepare and file various notices and forms; compose letters and routine correspondence.
- Answer telephone, respond to requests, and deliver messages.
- Receive and distribute mail; order materials, supplies, and services.
- Oversee the work of temporary employees, including assistance with hiring, processing, and training of temporary staff.
- Produce denial letters and other necessary communications.
- Two years of clerical experience related to the duties of the position.
- One year of college‑level coursework may be substituted for up to one year of work experience.
- Promotional:
One year of experience in the Los Rios CCD as an Admissions/Records Clerk or Technician I (applies to regular, current Classified employees working with the Los Rios Community College District). - Equal to 12 months of experience at 40 hours per week (part‑time experience converted to full‑time equivalent).
- Academic requirement:
