Responsibilities- Process and distribute all daily mail and checks.
- Prepare packages for shipment, copy and scan documents.
- Data entry and maintain mail room/reception functions.
- Support claims and litigation tasks.
- Provide assistance to attorneys and professional staff.
- Minimum typing speed as specified in the Class Specifications; must hold a valid typing certificate.
- Valid driver’s license for operating state‑owned vehicle (if applicable).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to comply with Caltrans policies and procedures.
Eligibility for hire determined by score on the Office Technician (Typing) exam and requirement to be on the state examination list. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum alternate range as applicable.
