Position SummaryOversee and cover front desk reception duties, including walk‑ins, phone calls, e‑mails and other communication methods. Train and supervise student assistants providing relief coverage at the front office, and coordinate with Access Coordinators, the ASL/CART Coordinator, and the Director regarding scheduling and communication needs.
Responsibilities- Manage front desk reception duties (walk‑ins, phone calls, e‑mails).
- Train and supervise student assistants for front office relief coverage.
- Coordinate with Access Coordinators, ASL/CART Coordinator, and the Director on scheduling and communication.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to confidentiality requirements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Oracle Client Server (Windows), CMS, and other database systems.
- Ability to operate a PC, printer, photocopy machine, multi‑line telephone, and related technology.
- Strong knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices.
- Ability to interpret and convey procedures, policies, and instructions clearly.
- Independent work, prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Apply sound judgment, discretion, and initiative to solve problems.
- Maintain confidentiality of department and student records per applicable laws.
- Perform standard arithmetic functions related to transactions.
- Present information effectively in writing.
- Follow instructions and ask questions when needed.
- Interest in working with individuals with disabilities.
- Train, lead, and monitor student assistant receptionists.
- Commitment to a welcoming and inclusive work environment.
- Experience in a fast‑paced student services office setting.
- Ability to complete a background check.
