The Office of Water Programs (OWP) at Sacramento State is seeking to hire one part-time employee to provide administrative support for a multidisciplinary research project focused on environmental and public health topics. This position will provide essential coordination and administrative assistance by supporting project operations, maintaining documentation, assisting with data coordination, and helping ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
Requirements Conditions of EmploymentThis is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited position. Employment in all positions with University Enterprises, Inc. is dependent upon the mutual consent of University Enterprises, Inc. and the employee. This means that either University Enterprises, Inc. or the employee can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will, with or without cause.
UEI does not allow employees to hold more than one UEIJob at a time, or work in more than one account per pay period. UEI employees who are considering leaving their current UEI position for a different UEI position should inform their supervisor in writing and provide at least a week's notice.

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
M inimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Health Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, or a closely related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Experience supporting academic, scientific, or technical projects.
- Familiarity with environmental health, water quality, or public health concepts.
- Experience with data entry, data quality review, or basic data management.
- Comfort working with researchers, faculty, external partners, or state/local agencies.
- Experience organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting action items.
- Provide administrative support to the research project team, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and tracking action items.
- Assist in maintaining project documentation, including project plans, timelines, progress updates, and compliance materials.
- Support data management tasks such as data entry, organization, and basic quality checks under guidance from project staff.
- Coordinate communication among project team members, external partners, and stakeholders.
- Assist with the preparation of project reports, presentations, and outreach materials.
- Help ensure project activities comply with organizational, sponsor, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other related duties to support successful project execution.
