This position is located in the Califonia Central Coast Veteran Cemetery of the Veteans Services Division and is responsible for duties associated with the operation and maintenance of the state veterans cemetery and may instruct, lead, or supervise other crew/staff. These efforts are intended to ensure honorable and dignified burials of eligible decedents in a consecrated sanctuary.

Special Requirements

Veterans may qualify for a Cal Vet Veterans Hiring Preference. Military service must be included in the Employment History section of the Employment Applications (STD. 678). The application package must include documentation of discharge, appropriate to the branch of service. The documentation must reflect a discharge/release under conditions other than dishonorable. If the candidate fails to include this information then the Cal Vet Veterans Hiring Preference shall not be granted in the recruitment.
