Position is located in Sacramento - May Lee State Office Complex (MLSOC).
The Field Operations Division at CDTFA is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where adaptability and innovation are key. We manage over 2,000 positions across 23 offices nationwide, our work often changes direction and we adapt accordingly. We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical HR professional to join our team as an FOD HR Operations Support Liaison, responsible for managing and coordinating position movements within the division and supporting key human resources functions across the organization.
As the FOD HR Operations Support Liaison, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective allocation and management of positions throughout the state. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a constantly evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities- Process hiring packages for candidates across 23 offices and over 2,000 positions.
- Analyze statewide position data and make recommendations to management on optimal placement and classification of positions.
- Collaborate closely with field offices and executive management to transfer, advertise, and maintain positions.
- Assist with preparing and reviewing hiring packages to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Support strategic workforce planning by identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Communicate effectively at all levels and across divisions, both in writing and in person, to ensure clarity and collaboration.
- Be part of a cohesive team that directly impacts statewide operations.

- Contribute to strategic decisions that shape the future of our workforce.
- Share innovative ideas and see projects through to implementation.
Under Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for partial telework for eligible candidates residing in California. All telework/hybrid schedules require staff to report to the office a minimum number of days per week. Schedules are subject to change.
Currently, per the California Budget Act of 2025, all California Department of Tax and Fee Administration salaries are subject to the provisions of the State of California’s Personal Leave Program.
